The project Advocacy and Communication for Change was initiated and implemented since 2016 and is planned to be implemented further in 2018.
The main goal of the project is to increase capacity of rural people with disabilities in communication and advocacy in order to make them able to voice their concerns and claim their rights.
Project Objectives:
- Greater understanding of the communication and information flow about disability issues from village level
- Greater communication of relevant issues between commune and district and province levels after the skills on basic advocacy and other skills trained.
- Increased advocacy capacity at local level to influence the Commune Councils
- Commune Councils are able to lobby district and province authorities including the Ministry of Interior to allocate resources/ budget for disability inclusion.
- Greater collaboration with DAC and the PWDF
